Speak easy National Movement

Our Story

The Speak Easy national Group is a student-led  free speech group. Created to be a place of open discussion. Speak Easy has three official branches at Exeter, Royal Holloway and Warwick. Our aim is to be a place where students feel free to have discussions without worrying about being cancelled. 

Our Aims

Speak Easy has 5 key objectives:

  • Cultivating open debate
  • Developing leadership & public speaking skills for our members
  • Innovate the debate forum
  • Foster intellectual diversity
  • Create an engaging environment

Our Benefits

Being a member of Speak Easy is more than being part of a national group, it is about meeting a diverse people who hold a range of opinions. We have hosted events in prestigious building like the House of Lords and hosted speaker events and have plenty of opportunities aimed at uplifting students like media training and debating events.
